From the depths of space, there is a flicker of pseudo-motion as a large vessel seemingly appears from nothing. Caught in the system's star light, the Victory-class Star Destroyer, the Evictor, moves into the system, heading course directly for Ciutric IV. It would be several hours with the sublight engines before the vessel reaches Ciutric IV.

*While in transit from Nal Hutta to Ciutric IV, Decivus and Miith have a chance to discuss Imperial business, first off, the Chiss presence there and what are the motives of General Morgan who sent him here. The Lieutenant follows Decivus to the conference room.*
Decivus turns off the holodisplay and fixes his gaze on the Chiss.
"You mentioned before that you had contacted your superiors and had given them your current report." Decivus says to the Chiss, eyeing him calmly. "I should like to discuss that with you, but in a more formal setting. It will be some time before we reach Ciutric IV, if you would come with me, I would like to be brought up to speed on General Morgan's views and intentions."
With that said, and without waiting for a reply, Decivus heads away from the holodisplay, and towards a conference room.
The General is impressed for the most part of all you have accomplished up to this point. The General has a fleet that he would be willing to deploy to support your growing Imperial Navy should you request that through me. The fleet would need upgrades and modifications to suit your current needs. It has been quite a while since such repairs have been made to the fleet. There are two Venator and Two Victory Class Star Destroyers each able to maintain a full squadron of TIE fighters. Each one is equipped with two Theta-class AT-AT barges long since taken out of commission also in need of service. I would suggest upon their arrival, they be sent to the repair docks for full service as if they are being constructed brand new.
Was there anything else you wish to discuss before we arrive at Ciutric IV?

When Decivus and Mitth enter the conference room, the young Sith settles in a seat across the Chiss. He listens to Lieutenant Mitth's claim of support, suppressing a grin. He raises a hand, waving it as if to say take it easy.
"Lieutenant, as much as I would be glad to accept General Morgan's warships, I would be remiss to take the time to fully understand the General's position before doing so." Decivus replies, sounding slightly amused. "If the General wishes to supply us with these warships, then by all means, I will accept them and the crew that come with them without hesitation."
Decivus places his hands on the table, twining his fingers together.
"That said, General Morgan's military support is one thing - for the Empire to return to prominence, but I require more." he continues. "As you have seen, while our military machine is well oiled and eager, we lack officers with desperately needed skills and experience. Imperial experience."
Decivus' yellow eyes burrow into the Chiss' crimson eyes.
"The New Republic fleet came with dozens of Captains, and a few Admirals. But it came with no Generals. I think you understand." Decivus says, offering a wry smile. "It is my understanding that General Morgan turned to the Unknown Regions for personal reasons, but that he has a fleet to offer also tells me that he leads his own faction of Imperial remnants. Cooperation between us is not enough, we should be more than an alliance - we should be Imperials working together as one."
Decivus tilts his head forward slightly.
"To this end, I would like to accept the warships he has to offer, and would like to in return offer for him to return to the Empire officially." Decivus continues. "Governor Alexis Grey, formerly an Admiral, provides legitimacy to our efforts, but the history and reputation of one such as General Morgan would serve as a rallying cry for Imperials yet undecided. General Morgan's open support would even more greatly enhance our efforts to legitimize the Empire's return."
Decivus leans back in his seat, body language deliberately used to imply he was lessening pressure on the Chiss Lieutenant.
"Of course, I will not force General Morgan's hand. This is merely an open-handed offer for him to return to the Empire in its entirety." Decivus finishes. "I ask that you pass my offer along to the General and your other superiors. An Empire united is far stronger and an Empire divided."

I will certainly pass on your requests to the General. The General has my loyalty as well as the Chiss Ascendency. If it is Commanders you seek I am well knowledgeable in being a commander and will serve loyally to your Empire. Or is it that you would prefer to have the General return to full time active duty. Things became rough under his command with factors such as internal betrayal and the overwhelming stress of the command in wartime and standard galactic affairs. We should be reaching Ciutric IV soon. I make this offer to you. If you are satisfied with my service and performance I can arrange to be transferred.

Decivus listens, and offers a small shrug.
"There's no helping it, then, if the General has tired of taking a more direct command." Decivus replies. His disappointment is not that great; he'd expected the chances of his return to be slim as it were. "If, however, you are indeed confident in your leadership capabilities, then by all means, we can make use of your skills."
Decivus regards the Chiss carefully.
"I cannot promote you to a higher rank until I have seen your capabilities in action." Decivus tells the Lieutenant. Before Decivus can continue, however, a muffled klaxon suddenly blares outside of the conference room. The young Sith's eyes snap upwards, and then to the door. Rising fast from his seat, Decivus heads for the door. "Lieutenant, with me."
Decivus leaves the conference room and returns quickly to the bridge. Captain Versai busily talks with her subordinates, turning on her heel as Decivus approaches.
"Sir! We are under attack!" the Captain reports hurriedly. "We've identified one warship, a Razor-class Frigate, and seven starfighters deployed in a screening formation. They appear to be a mix of I-7 Howlrunners and A-9 Vigilance interceptors."
Decivus looks through the forward viewports - the aforementioned vessels appeared to be actively and rapidly approaching them. The young Sith turns to Captain Versai.
"Have you received communications from them?" Decivus asks.
"Only a demand to surrender our ship, sir. They claim to be Imperials, and that we are trespassing in their affairs." Captain Versai replies. "We've also made contact with Ciutric's ground control, and they claim that they have no warships in their possession, saying that the ship arrived a day ago, demanding resources and protection payment. I surmise that these are either pirates or some other sub-faction."
Decivus narrows his eyes, looking back at the approaching frigate.
"Isn't that an Imperial design?" Decivus asks, to which Captain Versai nods.
"It is, sir, but the design has not seen production since the old Galactic Civil War." Versai explains. "Three hundred twenty meters in length, and armed with three forward facing dual turbolasers. But those markings across the bow... Ensign Korr! Have we found a match yet in our records?"
"Yes, Captain." the Nikto ensign replies quickly. "It matches against the Invids in our database."
"These traitors are still operating?" Captain Versai exclaims. When she sees Decivus' quizzical look, she turns to him. "The Invids are named after the Imperial Star Destroyer Invidious. After the old Empire felll to the Rebellion, the Invidious served as the former Moff turned warlord, Leona Tavira's flagship. The Invids became a pirate organization, preying on worlds not protected by the New Republic. I thought that they had been destroyed by now..."
"It appears not." Decivus replies. "If they are parading around in an old Imperial warship, we should make an example of them. A shame, I wouldn't mind taking that vessel from them, but that is not why we are here."
Decivus turns to Lieutenant Mitth.
"Lieutenant, I wish to test your leadership skills. You will take temporary command, with my and Captain Versai's supervision." Decivus tells the Chiss. "As you heard, there is a Razor-class Frigate on an interception route towards us, with seven deployed starfighters. As they are showing open hostility, and masquerading as Imperials, they must be destroyed."
"We currently have two TIE Fighter Squadrons and one squadron of TIE Interceptors." Captain Versai says, glancing quizzically at the Chiss. "The Evictor outguns that frigate in every aspect. Tactically, we are the ones with the advantage."
"Which means that their frigate is modified in such a way that they think they can charge a warship more than twice their size." Decivus replies. "You may begin, Lieutenant."

*Before the Lt. gets the opportunity to reply, the ship's internal alarms echo through the ship. Miith follows Decivus to the bridge to see just what the problem is. A Razor Class Frigate and seven fighters have blocked the route to Ciutric IV demanding immediate surrender. Decivus gives the Lt. a chance to prove himself that he can command.*
I accept and appreciate the opportunity to handle this matter.
Security officerr is there any information on Leona Tavira, is that accurate and does she still live?
Docking bay, this is Lieutenant Miith, scramble one squadron of TIE fighters. Have them wait just out of sight taking flanking positions behind the Star Destroyer. The opposing Howlrunners and Vigilance are small short range fighters, the Vigilance having increased speed even over our Interceptors.
Weapons officer, raise all forward shields and target the main batteries on the communication towers. Make an attempt to discretely communicate with and shut down their forward deflector shields on my command only.
Commander Decivus, I wish to determine just who is in command of this frigate. If they did belong to the Empire, they would be aware of our Star Destroyer being of Imperial allegiance. They certainly do not seem to follow the standard military protocol of using advanced firepower to achieve their goals. Certainly we would not attempt an attack on a more superior armed vessel unless hiding something which i intend to discover. The Empire does not demand resources and extort payment for protection. If they are in any way have involvement with the Imperials they will follow protocol. Up to this point they have not.
Communications open up a channel to reply to their request of surrender. This is the Imperial Star Destroyer Evictor. I request to speak to your commanding officer.

Immediately, the crew on the bridge of the Evictor springs into action, working to achieve success in their orders. The security officer searches further into the available databanks before turning back to the Chiss.
"Lieutenant, our data corroborates Captain Versai's explanation." the officer explains. "Leona Tavira was a former Moff, who turned into a criminal leader after the old Empire fell to the Rebellion. All else aside that has already been mentioned, the Invidious was never actually recorded as being destroyed. The last entry in regards to Tavira and the Invids was that they disappeared after one of their operations ended in a near catastrophic failure."
The Security Officer looks once more.
"Due to this, Lieutenant, there are no official records indicating whether or not Leona Tavira still lives." the officer continues. "However, it should be noted that she was the youngest person to ever hold the rank of Moff - it is conceivable that she could still be alive, but she would be well into her seventies or even eighties. From this point, its conjecture."
When the Chiss contacts the docking bay, he is met with a stern but dutiful reply.
"Yes Lieutenant. Our pilots are already in their TIE's and awaiting command. I'll forward your orders to Rapier Squadron."
From beneath the Evictor, a full squadron of TIE Fighters zoom from the hanger, hugging close to the ship to avoid being seen. They take up position behind the Star Destroyer, awaiting further orders. When the targeting crew are addressed, the Lieutenant receives a firm response.
"Yes, Lieutenant... ...Shields raised.... Operating at one hundred percent power...." the officer replies as the tasks are handled. "Targets aquired, we await command to fire."
Decivus looks at Lieutenant Mitth when he is addressed.
"Do as you feel necessary, Lieutenant." Decivus replies. "Keep in mind that the lives aboard the Evictor trump the lives aboard the enemy vessel. Command is yours."
Decivus crosses his arms and stares out through the forward viewports, watching the still approaching frigate. The communications officer works to obey the command given.
"Channel is open, Lieutenant." the officer informs the Chiss. "Whenever you're ready."
When Lieutenant Mitth speaks, there is no immediate reply, but the Razor-class Frigate and its fighters seem to slow their approach. After a few silent minutes, a voice finally comes through.
"Evictor, is it? Funny choice for a name, but I suppose it makes the purpose clear." the voice says, sounding more amused if anything. "This is Captain Talion of the Vengeful. If you are Imperial, then you've got no jurisdiction in this sector. You have one chance to leave - we've got ten warships waiting to jump in system at our word."

*Before reopening conversion with the Captain of the alleged Imperial Frigate, Miith once again issues a command to the crew of the Evictor. He also gives a reply to Decivus concerning his statement the crew safety now falls as his responsibility as acting Commander.*
Commander, I have no intention of bringing harm to the crew or damage to the Evictor. If all goes according to plan, that will fall under the actions of this Captain Talion. There seems to be a conflict based on the Imperial records of this frigate and the former Moff Leona Tavira.
Security officer can you bring up the file of this Captain Talion of his service to the Empire and any details of deployment to this sector.
Communications Officer open a channel to the frigate.
Captain Talion, this is the Imperial Star Destroyer Evicta. While under the banner of the Imperial Empire, we are not a threat to your position in this system. There is no reason for threats against another Imperial vessel. If you would indulge me and I quote: If you are Imperial.
Communications close the channel.
Contact the TIE commander to be prepared to maneuver the squadron on my command.
Helm, move forward two kilometers orbital engine only.
Weapons officer, keep the weapons systems targeted as ordered maintain shields at full.

For a moment, there is silence, but a reply finally comes from the security officer. The officer seems to take something from the terminal, and approaches Lieutenant Mitth, holding a holodisk. An image appears, showing a Pandoran man, draped in a mishmash of leather armor and a cape draped over his left shoulder. His purple hair is cut short and slicked back, and a long, severe-looking scar runs down across the Pandoran's left eyebrow down to his chin.
"There were over a thousand general matches to the name, but we record all transmissions." the officer reports. "I took the voice and matched it against records, and came up with this man. Avraari Talion; a native of the planet Pandora. Wanted in over a hundred systems for criminal misconduct, ranging from simple smuggling to slave trafficking and colony raids. This man has no history with the Empire, nor the New Republic, outside of a criminal one."
Decivus glances calmly from Lieutenant Mitth and back to the slowly advancing frigate. He silently wonders if this person had any dealings with the Black Sun or Hutts - both of which are very likely. He pushes the thought back and waits patiently.
The communications officer obliges the commands, not giving the opposing ship much time to reply through the channel. The Lieutenant's orders to the TIE's is replied to quickly.
"Evictor bridge, this is Rapier One. We stand by, ready for command."
Obediently, the helmsman sets the Evictor on an approach vector matching Lieutenant Mitth's command. The opposing vessel ceases its advance, seemingly as if the crew was surprised that the warning had gone unheeded. As the Evictor continues its approach, a voice from the sunken control area of the bridge calls up to the Lieutenant.
"Lieutenant, Captain, we have incoming!" the officer tells them in a hurried, but calm tone. "Two signatures identified."
Curious, Decivus looks past the Razor-class frigate. Moments later, a pair of ships appear from hyperspace.
"Ships identified - both are Action VI-class transports." the officer continues after a moment of observing the scanners.
"Not exactly ten ships." Captain Versai mutters. She looks at Decivus sideways. "Commander -"
"Silence, Captain. This is not a test for you." Decivus interjects, making the Captain quickly fall quiet. "Watch, Captain. Watch, and wait."
"Lieutenant, incoming transmission." the communications officer pipes up, having returned to his station. He waits for permission before patching it through.
"Perhaps I wasn't clear, Evictor." Captain Talion jeers. "You were commanded to surrender your ship. Now, it seems, I will have to be more convincing. Stop your heading, or we will destroy you. You see clearly that I have ships in reserve! Surrender your ship now, and I may consider sparing your lives!"
With that, the transmission ends, and Captain Versai glances at Decivus, who still calmly gazes through the forward viewports.

*Miith listens to the Captain's reply and observes the two Action VI freighters come out of hyperspace taking positions behind the RazorClass frigate. The Lt.'s initial assessment is that this Captain is alot more bark.*
Communications Officer, open up the shipwide internal comm system: Crew as you all are most likely aware, we have been approached and ordered to surrender. That of course is not an option. The Captain of the opposing ship must not realize our vessel outguns his. The smaller fighters he has deployed are low in numbers but faster due to their smaller size than even our TIE Interceptors.
As noted by our own Captain Versai, there are only two not ten Action VI Class transports. Any ensign knows they are for transport only, with no shielding and armament. The truth of that will be determined soon enough. He intends to take us as a prize to add to his fleet and I do not intend to let that happen. There may indeed be losses which any Imperial knows is expected in combat, which I intend to keep to the lowest possible denominator.
Communications Officer shut down the internal comm and patch me into the docking bay. Have my two personal TIE Interceptor pilots man their ships and lead the Interceptor squadron to back up the TIE fighter squadron already deployed. Deploy the second TIE squadron to wait with the first squadron.
Rapier One, take command of both TIE squadrons, Squadron One attack from the left, Squadron Two attack from the right. Once the enemy has engaged employ Divide and Conquer strategy to break up their squadron and eliminate them. My two pilots engage Clawcraft spin as you attack from both sides taking the lead position in front of the two TIE Squadrons.
TIE Interceptor Commander cover any of the attacking squadron that may slip from the grasp of the TIE squadrons.
Helm officer proceed forward impulse power toward the enemy vessel. Weapons officer when in range take out the comm. towers atop the enemy vessel.

Captain Versai gives Lieutenant Mitth an incredulous look when the Chiss addresses the entire ship through its intercom. She wonders what the point had been, and glances at Decivus, who ignores her and keeps watching the opposing vessels. She minutely shakes her head, looking at the two ships that had just arrived.
Lieutenant Mitth's orders are heard, and obeyed. Deploying quickly, the second TIE Fighter squadron moves to join their fellows, followed quickly by the TIE Interceptor squadron. The TIE Fighters move into action, parting ways from behind the Star Destroyer as the Evictor closes the distance. Clearly surprised by the sudden appearance of starfighters, the opposition fighters begin an unusual movement pattern; circling over and under the Vengeful, rather than move to meet the fighters. Mitth's fellows in their Interceptors move into leader positions, and as the distance closes, the opposition fighters spring into action.
The fighters spread out in every direction, but reverse direction and converge - repeating this motion of separation and conversion multiple times as the TIE's move into engagement range. The TIE Interceptor squadron moves in cohesion, weaving through the odd dance like a flock of deadly hawkbats. But this odd strategy by the enemy clearly fails to work, as TIE's take openings to fire on the two transports. Only...
"Lieutenant, we've just completed a scan - those transports are modified!" an officer in the control pit barks up. "We've detected medium laser cannons equipped on both vessels."
A TIE Fighter visibly detonates, having taken a direct blow from a red laser blast. Reacting to the new threat, the other TIE's break away from the transports, leading the opposition fighters further away from the Vengeful. But even as sudden as that had been, the green flashing from both sides of the bridge tower gives the telltale sign that the Evictor had reached the point where turbolasers would be effective.
The first volley seems to spatter and fizzle against an unseen forcefield - the Vengeful's shields. Undeterred, turbolasers continue to volley towards the Vengeful. The Vengeful returns fire, joined in by the two modified transports. As it had with the Evictor's first volley, the laser blasts rail against the unseen shell of the Evictor's own shields. The difference, of course, would be power output.
The ship with stronger shield generators would hit first, and hardest. For now, that stronger ship would be the Evictor.
"Shields down to eighty-seven percent. Holding." an officer in the command pit reports.
Several of the opposition starfighters erupt in a brief but brilliant flash of flames; they were down to four fighters now - vastly outnumbered. Despite this, the transports suddenly pitch downward, moving quickly to place themselves beneath the firing arc of the Evictor's turbolasers.
"Enemy's shields are also holding." another crewman adds in quickly.
Post by Lieutenant Mitth on Jan 7, 2020 11:18:15 GMT -5
*The lieutenant observes the strategy of the recent two transports as a deck officer informs him that they are modified for warfare. Miith notices they are moving out of position to avoid the Evictor turbolasers. The Lt. makes his next set of commands accordingly. After the orders are given, Lt. Miith turns to observe from the viewport.
Deck officer, your observation and report on the transport armament is noted and appreciated.
Weapons officer, proceed to fire ion cannons simultaneous at both transports to delay their attack before they move fully out of range. Target the main ship with all remaining turbolasers.
TIE Interceptor commander, continue the attack on the remaining four fighters until eliminated. TIE Commander, assist if needed in eliminating the remaining fighters. Once they are destroyed each TIE squadron break off and target each transport. Conduct strafing runs using attack pattern d'moporai. That should sufficiently create a weakness in their defenses for the Evictor to target them. Being smaller and faster ships, your squadrons should easily avoid their turbolasers to create sufficient damage.*
Post by Warlord Chiren Guinn on Jan 7, 2020 11:56:29 GMT -5
At once, the Evictor's ion cannons began firing at the modified transports, the bright blue hue racing through the void towards their targets. Given the transports' slim profile, several shots race past the ships, but a few manage to catch their quarry. The transports' shields are unable to withstand the ion bursts, fizzling visibly with a blue haze as the ion shots do their work, disabling the shields. More strikes disable the engines and other vital systems, leaving the transports defenseless.
Desperately, the last remaining four opposition starfighters attempt to lead the mass of TIE's back towards the Vengeful's forward cannons, but end up losing two more to the strategy Lieutenant Mitth employed.
"Lieutenant, the modified transports' engines and shields are disabled." the deck officer reports from the bridge pit.
The TIE's led by Lieutenant Mitth's Interceptors, finish off the last two remaining fighters, but not before two more TIE's are destroyed by the Vengeful's cannons. The Evictor's turbolasers refocus fully on the Vengeful, splashing against the vessel's shields.
"Our shields are holding at seventy-nine percent. Starboard turbolasers recharging..." the deck officer reports calmly. After a few moments, the green flashes from the starboard side of the Evictor resume.
Following their earlier orders, the TIE's all swarm around and past the Vengeful, targeting the seemingly helpless transports. But as the TIE's approach, desperate laser cannon fire races at them. As Mitth predicted, however, the TIE's are too nimble and fast for the transports to hit, especially with their evident lack of targeting systems - the gunners were firing on line of sight.
The swarm of TIE's split yet again, beginning hull strafing runs on the transports. The engines are the first to go, followed quickly by the transports' weapon emplacements.
"Enemy vessel's shields are down!" the deck officer's voice rings out from the pit. Surely enough, the turbolasers no longer splash against the invisible wall, and instead arc into the very top of the Vengeful's bridge. Three turbolaser hits later, and the communications tower is obliterated. Further turbolaser fire from the Evictor race past the Vengeful, catching the transports mid sections. Only two direct hits were required to destroy the transports, leaving the Vengeful alone and unable to call for more reinforcements.
Finally, though too late, getting the clue that they were outmatched, the Vengeful's sublight engines fire up again, and the vessel begins a slow turn, clearly intending to attempt an escape.

*Watching the inevitable victory over the attackers from the viewport, the Lt. gives his final command on the matter without turning away.*
TIE commanders, see that the remaining ship does not have the opportunity to turn about and make an escape. I wish to conduct an interrogation of the crew.
Helm Officer, bring the Evictor into position to allow the enemy ship to be tractored into the docking bay.
Security Officer, activate the tractor beam and bring the ship into an empty docking bay. To secure the ship does not escape fire ion cannons to disable all their remaining systems. Send an armed detail to the docking bay to secure the crew as prisoners and hold them all in the detainment area of the ship.
Communications Officer, inform me when the ship is secure in the docking bay. I will be in the command meeting room with Lord Decivus or Commander Chiren. (Whatever name Miith knows you as. ha ha)
Post by Warlord Chiren Guinn on Jan 8, 2020 13:06:44 GMT -5
"Understood. TIE's moving to intercept course." the TIE commander replies. Immediately, the TIE's arc and race after the still turning frigate, taking measured shots at the vessel's engine array.
Before Mitth can leave, however, Captain Versai speaks up.
"Lieutenant, I assume you mean to correct your orders." the Captain says in a firm tone. "Surely you mean to have their ship boarded, as a ship of that size cannot fit in the Evictor's docking bay."
Captain Versai looks at Decivus, who raises a brow, but makes no effort to interrupt her.
"As you were informed, the Vengeful is just over three hundred meters in length - and this vessel is a Victory-class Star Destroyer, not an Imperial-class. The Evictor is just over nine hundred meters in length, and our docking bay is not large enough to even fit a Corellian Corvette. So, unless you intend to ram the Evictor into the Vengeful, I recommend that you amend your order."
No other officers speak up, but the light-blue flashes of ion cannons bombarding the Vengeful's hull can be seen on display. Decivus closes his eyes for a moment, opening them as he turns away from the now disabled vessel.
"Communications, inform hanger three to prepare my ship." Decivus tells the officer, who nods silently. "Lieutenant, correct your orders, and we will speak."
With that, Decivus heads for the conference room once again.
Post by Lieutenant Mitth on Jan 8, 2020 13:59:54 GMT -5
You are indeed correct Captain. Most of my previous assignments have been on larger vessels.
I shall be with your commander in the briefing room.
Commander, that was certainly an interesting monkey-lizard vibrowrench thrown into the mission. My next goal is to bring this Captain in alive for an interrogation. I have many questions stemming from the comments he made to us, plus the ships he has access to. Is there a preference to know what we use to board the ship? Being unaware of what crew he may have aboard, we should be cautious.
I defer to you on what security forces board the ship with us. Unless you feel the two of us are more than sufficient to board the vessel?
Post by Warlord Chiren Guinn on Jan 9, 2020 13:00:11 GMT -5
When Decivus and Lieutenant Mitth leave, Captain Versai heaves a irritable sigh - the Lieutenant acknowledged his mistake, but failed to rectify it by adjusting the orders he had given.
"Belay the order to tractor beam the Vengeful towards us." Captain Versai says firmly towards the control pit. "Prepare a boarding party - assign a slicer to assist the team. Inform Commander Falcon that he is needed on the bridge."
In the conference room, Decivus turns to the Lieutenant, this time he remains standing.
"So then, you showed an understanding of preparation and strategic execution." Decivus begins, "This is good, though you need to keep in mind the type of vessel you command, and the type of vessel you intend to capture. Now then..."
Decivus' eyes turn to the door, and a Stormtrooper Commander walks through. However, this trooper's appearance is drastically different than the typical.
"Call Number L-S-Nine-four-zero, reporting sir." the trooper announces, standing at attention, his blaster rifle held in a strict non-combat position. The trooper's helmet turns slightly towards Lieutenant Mitth, "My designation is Stormtrooper Commander Falcon of the Two-hundred Third Legion."
Decivus turns to the commander, a light smile playing across his features.
"Commander Falcon will be leading his troops in the boarding party." Decivus explains. "While you busied yourself with commanding the disabling of the enemy vessels, I had Captain Versai prepare for the eventual capture of the Vengeful. Commander Falcon here is a returning officer of Sacrifice Milla's faction of the Empire."
Commander Falcon offers a quick salute in response, but remains quiet. Decivus addresses both Lieutenant Mitth and Commander Falcon.
"To affirm, our boarding target is a Razor-class Frigate, an Imperial design from an earlier time in the Empire's history." Decivus says, clasping his hands behind his back. "The number of crew is unknown, but we know the name of our target - a Pandoran named Avaari Talion. Lieutenant Mitth will be commanding this operation, and has asked that we take at least a few prisoners for interrogation."
"Understood, sir." Commander Falcon replies with a curt nod.
"Lieutenant, I will be accompanying you in an observational function." Decivus tells the Chiss. "I have one condition - we do not have the resources to waste on prisoners for an extended period of time. Therefore, after you have achieved a satifying result through your questionings of the survivors, we will be handing the prisoners over to Ciutric authorities. They can handle things from there."
Decivus looks between the two individuals.
"Questions or recommendations?" Decivus asks.
"None, sir." Commander Falcon replies immediately, leading Decivus to look at Mitth expectantly.
Post by Lieutenant Mitth on Jan 9, 2020 13:51:24 GMT -5
I appreciate and understand your comments on my acting command position concerning the attack by the opposing enemy forces, Sir.
Commander Falcon and his squad will be more than sufficient in the task to clear the frigate of it's occupants. The crew were just following orders, they can be sent to the authorities on Ciutric IV. I am only interested in the Pandoran captain. I highly doubt there will be much resistance from the survivors when Commander Falcon boards the ship. If so, the result will not go in their favor.
When we are ready to proceed, I will be ready. If you would excuse me. I will need my gear from my ship. If there is nothing else to discuss, may I be dismissed?
Post by Warlord Chiren Guinn on Jan 10, 2020 1:54:07 GMT -5
Decivus nods to Lieutenant Mitth.
"Make your preparations, and meet the boarding party at hanger Two-B, Lieutenant." Decivus replies calmly. He turns to Commander Falcon. "Commander, prepare your squad. You may very well be facing tens of enemies - ensure your troopers are properly outfitted and equipped to handle it."
"Understood, sir." Commander Falcon nods curtly in return. "Though I must protest your presence, sir. It will be difficult to capture the ship and protect you at the same time."
"I appreciate the concern, but I am more than capable of handling myself." Decivus grins. "Now then, both of you are dismissed. You have half a standard hour to make your preparations."
With that, Commander Falcon turns on his heel and leaves the conference room. Once Lieutenant Mitth leaves, Decivus would head for the designated hanger, where he could await the Lieutenant's arrival aboard the shuttle.

*The Lt. arrives at the docking bay wearing his flight armor to protect him if a battle should occur to take the ship and capture their prisoner. He carries with him his Charric rifle, a Charric blaster as a sidearm holstered to his right hip, spare powerpacks on the gear belt and a demolition satchel. The satchel is filled with vape charges, the Chiss equivalent of thermal detonators. Miith arrived back at the docking bay to board the shuttle with Decivus and the troopers.*
I am ready to depart to the enemy ship. Our target is the Pandoran Captain, everyone else is expendable. Pilot, when all is in readiness, we can depart.

Arriving only moments after Lieutenant Mitth, Commander Falcon arrives with a dozen Stormtroopers. Their armor is, for the most part, identical to the standard issue, with a minor difference of red markings running along their armor, giving the already sinister-looking Commander Falcon further potency.
"Shock troopers." Decivus, who stood by the shuttle entrance, says. He looks first to Lieutenant Mitth. With the arrival of the troopers, Lieutenant Mitth speaks, to which Decivus nods. A third person, another officer, arrives. The rank plaque marks this individual as a Sub-Lieutenant, the slicer chosen to accompany the team. "Very well. We depart immediately."
With that, everyone will enter the shuttle and settle into their seats. The shuttle, a Sentinel-class Troop Transport, rumbles to life, and moves out through the hanger environmental shield, and heads straight for the disabled Razor-class frigate. Rather than head for the only hanger visible on the vessel, the transport lands over an external hatch. A connector makes contact, and seals against the hatch's rim. The Stormtroopers quickly begin working to cut through the hatch's locking mechanism, and pop open the entrance after only a few short minutes.
"Move in!" Commander Falcon commands, jabbing an open hand at the hatch. Immediately, the troopers drop through, followed by Commander Falcon, and then the Imperial slicer.

*Lt. Miith acknowledges all that Lord Decivus has said and is impressed with the squad of shock troopers accompanying them on the mission. Did not think to have an individual with computer skills join the mission. For gathering intel from the ship's computers could prove useful. Miith drops through the hatch behind Commander Falcon and his squad. Landing on the floor of the ship, he moves to the left of the hatch. Looking around the area, the commander already has his men deployed to guard both ends of the corridor they are now in.
While waiting for Decivus and the slicer, Miith spots a nearby terminal. From the right can be heard the faint sound of what is most likely the straining engines keeping the ship floating in orbit. At the current moment, all is eerily silent as if on an abandoned freighter floating in space. Thinking to himself, that can and more than likely will change in an instant. Checking the terminal, Miith brings up the schematics of the ship. They are in the east corridor between the engine room and other unidentified rooms. The only other rooms identified on the terminal in this wing are the docking bay and weapons storage. Miith in his flight suit with blaster drawn is prepared to assist the squad in clearing this hall.
Commander Falcon, we will conduct a room to room search to clear this hall. If any doors are locked, the slicer can gain access while we defend against any possible surprise attacks. According to the console schematics, this is one long hall with the majority of the rooms situated on the right side only. There are a couple doors on the left, I would presume them to be designated as larger areas for the crew use such as a mess hall, crew quarters or storage. The hall ends at the corner and connects to an adjacent hall to the left.

Decivus drops through the hatch soon after the slicer lands and finds a nook in the wall to hide behind. The young Sith probes the surroundings with the Force, he senses multiple presences, but deigns to not inform Commander Falcon or Lieutenant Mitth. Walking calmly, Decivus clasps his hands behind his back, and stops short of the Commander as he motions for the shock troopers to follow through with Lieutenant Mitth's instructions.
When the Chiss checks the terminal, the Sub-Lieutenant slicer steps up beside him, just in case he was needed. Room by room, the shock troopers clear the hall. One door leads to another hall, running straight and curved only where an inactive terminal station is situated in the wall itself. The door at the far end suddenly slides open, allowing numerous beings to charge in and towards the troopers.
A torrential exchange of yellow and red blaster bolts ensues, forcing the shock troopers to take cover.

*As they are performing a search and clear of the immediate hallway, a door opens on the far end a door opens and numerous individuals charge toward them with blasters firing. As they are forced to take cover in open doorways, Miith takes advantage of the moment before taking cover. He tosses a vape charge, the Chiss equivalent of a thermal detonator. The charge uses baradium to completely disintegrate the target and whatever else is in the blast radius. The Chiss then takes cover and using his Charric blaster to shoot in the direction of the attackers.*
Commander, keep the squad back as far as possible and clear of the blaster fire. The charge when detonated completely disintegrates anything within the radius. Slicer, get back to the console where we entered and see what you can do to hinder the attacker's progress. We need to move forward to reach the Captain of the ship before he gets the chance to make an escape.

Commander Falcon takes note of the object lobbed into the adjacent hallway the ship's defenders charged down. The shock troopers return fire, but move back and out of the hallway at the Commander's command. Commander Falcon slams his fist against the door panel console, causing the door to slide shut once more. Behind it, there is a thunderous sound as the device thrown by Lieutenant Mitth detonates.
Of the dozen oncomers, four of them are completely vaporized by the explosion, three more are blown backwards by the concussive force of air travelling rapidly through the now closed off hallway. Working quickly, the Sub-Lieutenant slicer patches into the local controls, slamming the door shut behind the ship's defenders, who now struggle to regroup. Commander Falcon reopens the door to a ghastly sight - the explosion had sheered and melted much of the hallway - a full circle where the grenade went off was nothing more than a jangled mess of twisted and melted materials.
Motioning to the shock troopers, the remaining attackers are cut down by the Imperials at Commander Falcon's orders. With no where to hide because of the grenade, and now backed against the locked door behind them, the attackers last only seconds under the intense barrage of blasterfire. Once the last of the attackers is downed, Commander Falcon turns on his heel to look at Lieutenant Mitth. Although he wears a helmet that hides his face, it is clear that the Commander was glaring at the Chiss.
"Don't do that again!" the Commander bites out. "There is only a few feet of durasteel between us and the void above our heads - so unless you want to get sucked up through a jagged hole and into space to die, don't throw grenades!"
Decivus suppresses a grin - while the concept of being jettisoned into space was terrifying, the angry Commander appealed to Decivus' sense of humor.
"There will be more on the way." Decivus tells them calmly. "We have work to do, Commander. Lieutenant? Sub-Lieutenant? Did you find us a route to the bridge?"
The slicer looks from Decivus to Lieutenant Mitth, as if waiting for the Chiss to determine which of them would speak.

Commander Falcon, your objection to the use of grenades is noted. This is not the time to discuss weaponry tactics. While I agree more of the crew will be making their way to this area. The blockage of the adjacent hall will buy us some time. If we head to one of the center rooms, they are usually connected to both sides of the hallway so the crew does not need to walk all the way around. Sub Lieutenant, did you find anything on the terminal about the interior layout of the ship and routes to the bridge? We can reroute through another path. there are always more paths to that which is our destination. I suggest we head back to the center room and make our way across the ship to the other side.
*Miith, while talking, blaster in hand, heads back the way they came and waits by the center door for the slicer's report on the internal schematics and any other thoughts on the situation at hand.*

The Sub-Lieutenant works through the terminal, pulling up the ship schematics.
"Sir, it looks like there is another path if we double back past the hatch." the Imperial replies confidently. "I've cracked their code too - they are still using old Imperial logs and key phrases for their lock down and unlock passwords. We will be able to take a route directly to the turbolifts to the bridge. That said, there are only two turbolifts going up and down from the bridge."
"In other words, they can hole up and barricade the bridge, and catch us in a crossfire." Commander Falcon adds in. The Sub-Lieutenant shakes his head.
"If anything, they'll be sending crew to engineering. Their engines can't keep this ship in geosynchronous orbit at this rate, not with most of their systems down." the Sub-Lieutenant replies. "These lights are part of the ship's internal emergency generators - they're still stuck in orbital decay."
Decivus looks at Lieutenant Mitth silently. Commander Falcon does as well.
"We go with your suggestion, Lieutenant." Falcon says firmly. "We move to the centralized hall, and work our way through to the turbolifts. We'll figure out what to do as we get there."
That said, Commander Falcon motions to the shock troopers, and the group will work their way to the central hall designated by the schematics, following close by the Chiss.

I agree with the Commander and the Sub Lieutenant that we should go back through the main room and work our way to the turbo lifts. Sub Lieutenant, once we reach the turbo lifts is there a possible way that you can slice into the controls for the lifts so only we have the access to them? Then the remaining crew would not be able to send any repair teams to the engine rooms. That would buy us more time as we would have less opposition in completing this mission. If the main room is a mess hall or something, unless they are tracking our whereabouts, with the current condition of the ship, I do not believe the crew will be on break.
*The Chiss follows the Trooper squad led by Commander Falcon back past the already searched rooms, the hatchway they entered through and then the main room to cross the ship and make it to the turbolifts. Once all are gathered they will make their way to the next destination. *

The Sub-Lieutenant shook his head at Lieutenant Mitth's inquiry.
"I'm sorry, sir, but not from these consoles." the slicer explains tentatively. "I would need access to a terminal that is connected to the primary controls of the ship. Essentially, we'd have to be on the bridge, sir. This kind of ship wasn't built with a backup command center - most old Imperial vessels had only the bridge to operate from."
The group move quickly along with Lieutenant Mitth, encountering little more than various droids lolling about the halls and rooms. Indeed, the center of the ship was the mess hall, but there were no crew to be found. As they move towards the turbolifts, Commander Falcon stops the group.
"I don't like this lack of activity." Falcon says to the Chiss. "There's a high probability that they've fortified the bridge. If it were me, I'd even have an E-WEB set up just in case."
The slicer sets up at the wall terminal, working into the device. Decivus watches the group wordlessly. He reaches out with the Force, trying to gauge their situation. Indeed, he felt the most activity far above - likely the bridge or the halls leading to it. Had the ship only a skeleton crew? Decivus turns away, extending his senses, but he couldn't feel anything behind them. Nothing alive, at any rate.
The lights flicker through the hall, giving off an eerie sense. But the troopers remain unfazed - likely that they didn't even notice, given the tech inside their helmets using a holographic H.U.D. That was when Decivus felt it - desperation. Fear. Pain.
"Lieutenant, Commander, the crew are not the only things on this ship." Decivus says suddenly. "I recall hearing that Captain Talion dabbles in the slave trade. Take your shots carefully - I feel as though the crew may try to use there captives as living shields."
