Nar Shaddaa was the largest moon of Nal Hutta. More commonly known as the Vertical City, the Smuggler's Moon and Little Coruscant, Nar Shaddaa was similar to Coruscant in that its surface was entirely overgrown with city sprawl for millennia. But unlike Coruscant—which was only relatively rundown and dangerous on the lower and under levels of the world city—Nar Shaddaa was filthy, polluted, and infested with crime everywhere.
Nar Shaddaa had been through a lot in recent years. The planet’s surface had been relatively restored since the crashing of Switch’s space station, though the effects could still be seen, and in some cases felt. It had been an event that none would forget, one that cause much life loss and devastation. Though the event had left the planet with the need to rebuild, which allowed it to modernize. There was no getting around the fact that it was run down, polluted, and crime ridden, but there was definitely a more with the times approach with the restoration.
Under normal conditions the Smuggler's Moon is a simple haven for smugglers, pirates, crooks, thieves and those running from whatever. Not that it still wasn't such a place, but with all the new business' coming and going there was a need to keep track of incoming and outgoing ships.
As cheaply as possibly, at any rate.
This is Nar Shadda orbital control. Declare destination Bluesun.
The voice was a lite musical lift, the accent definitely giving off a Bith sound.
He had never before been to Nar Shaddaa so he really didn't know what to expect. Everyone had heard stories about the Smuggler's Moon going all the way back to the days of the Old Republic. It had the reputation of being a dirty dangerous place...they had no idea what danger would soon land.
Strapping on a utility belt, he dropped the stun-baton into its holder then grabbed a number of mini-cameras and listening devices. His upgraded datapad was now capable of sending and receiving signals to and from hidden cameras and bugs. He then went for his usual loadout.
Wristblades on his right arm, MM9 minirocket launcher loaded with a Type-12A anti-personnel rocket, 2 DE-10 heavy blaster pistols, his Westar M5 w/grenade launcher, beskad and sword. There was also a new item, a heavily modified Merr-Sonn JT-12 jetpack with a richer experimental fuel mixture to accomodate Payne's immense frame--it still had its own MM9 rocket launcher.
Having decided on his loadout and completed his equipment check he headed for the command console. He had set the navicomputer to come out of hyperspace further away from Nar Shaddaa then at Corellia giving him time to engage the ship's cloaking device before he would show up on any of their scans. Getting to the planet was easy--what to do after he got there was another matter entirely.
He was no bounty hunter nor had he ever been inside a guild hall--of course he knew all about Jango and Boba Fatt, also how some Mandos would become bounty hunters to keep their skills sharp...it was also dangerous work, one mistake could be his last. But he needed to see if he could find a lead on the shooters who took out the Chancellor--the chances weren't very good as he knew it was a ghost mission which could have began anywhere in the galaxy. What he did have though was the pics he took at the scene including the one showing the entry path of the slug which killed Hamuth...it was a perfect shot. What he didn't know was if Hamuth simply fell to the ground in place after being hit or did his head turn on impact? If his head did move, that means the angle of shot as well as roof it was fired from changed. In any event, asking a few general questions wouldn't hurt...hopefully...
When the Cin Vhetin dropped out of hyperspace Payne couldn't see Nar Shaddaa at all which is exactly what he wanted. Now engaging the Stygium cloaking device as well as the F-31 engines, the pursuit craft closed in on Nar Shaddaa.
Passing through the atmosphere of Little Coruscant he turned on his FOD radar because he could see them but they couldn't see him. Ducking behind a building to disengage the cloaking device he then merged into a lane of traffic while bringing up the location of the bounty hunter guild hall.
Spotting an empty landing pad, he dropped the pursuit special to a soft touchdown. The guild hall was about a half click away--now marking its location inside his buy'ce he made his way toward it not knowing what to expect.
*The Juggernaut and Pandora's Box leave Concord Dawn orbit and make their way to Nar Shaddaa. There seems to be traffic in the hyperspace lanes so the trip could take a while. They pair pull iinto a rest stop along the way to get some breakfast and lunch and arrive sometime later in the day.*
The half-drunk Orbital controller operator groggily opened his eyes. What the fierfiek was that noise? he thought to himself. That's when he rubbed his eyes and saw a ship waiting for clearance to land. Had been waiting for days.
He practically feel out of his chair.
Nar Shadda orbital control to... he looked again. There were two ships waiting. He opened a a second channel. Juggernaut and Pandora's Box...you are cleared for landing at the BHG.
Have a nice day. He shut the comm down and started laughing. He couldn't wait to tell his drinking buddies about how a pair of ships actually waited for Orbital Control....
*Forgetting for a moment that this was Nar Shaddaa, honor, discipline and a mean streak of morality does not mean much. Considering the slurred voice, it was obvious that whoever was on the other end of the comlink had been drinking.
The Juggernaut and Pandora's Box leave orbit heading planetside to the Bounty Hunter Guild. Common knowledge of Nar Shaddaa, sensors are not necessary to alert visitors of the noxious fumes of the massive docking area or the general condition of the air quality.*
*Fi arrives at the starport and heads to her ship to make sure it is prepped for departure. R5, her copilot droid rolls over and informs her all systems are go. She moves to the storage area to secure her weapons: sniper rifle, assault rifle, explosives satchel, bolos and whip, beskad. her dual blasters remain holstered on her gearbelt. She walks over to Wez prepping his weapons, turns him around, lifts up his helmet enough to give a kiss and says one thing before she leaves.*
Ni kar'tayl gar darasuum Riduur
*R5 flys up into the astromech copilot space and Fi climbs into the pilot's seat. Pandora's Box takes off for Naboo, announcing departure from the planet surface to orbit to depart the planet.*
*While at his ship, he can hear Fi's boots clinking along the starport floor and she turns him around to face her. She has lifted her helmet and raised his enough to give a kiss and express her feelings befre she departed.
Lowering his helmet and looking at Ace who despite his helmet being on knows he is smirking beneath it. Wez tells him to cut it out and start up the ship.
Wez checks his weapons in the storage area: assault rifle, flamethrower, grenade bandolier and beskad. His blasters holstered on his gearbelt. He climbs into the gunner control seat as Ace pilots the ship out of orbit.*
Juggernaut leaving orbit of Nar Shaddaa to make the jump to the hyperspace lanes.
The Juggernaut is enroute from Empress Teta to Nar Shaddaa with their cargo, destination Bounty Hunter Guild. On the trip, Wez and Ace discuss repairs and modifications needed to his armor and weapons. Wez sends a coded transmission to Mandalor on his progress.*
*The Distant Star dropped out of hyperspace in orbit around the Smuggler's Moon, and entered into its assigned holding pattern as it joined the traffic moving toward the planet. Being just one of so many other bulk transports, it was not given any special priority, nor was the captain or crew in any particular hurry to arrive at the stinking Hutt-run den of iniquity that was Nar Shadaa.*
*Hidden in the cargo hold, Kreiton felt the short jolt from the deceleration out of lightspeed, and could not keep his heartbeat from picking up slightly. Unlike the rest on the ship, he WAS excited to be out of this cramped compartment and able to move around again - finally free of that cursed world and the thrice-damned mines. He did not know where this ship's final destination was...and he could not have cared less. He was AWAY. That was all that mattered. Whatever came next, he knew he would find his way through...and just maybe, he would find someone who knew about him and could help him remember more of his life from before...*
*The Juggernaut finally arrives in orbit over Nar Shaddaa, heading down to the lower atmosphere. Unlike most of the planets in the galaxy, the surface is usually visible from orbit. Nar Shaddaa is buried beneath a mixed cloud of ship exhaust, factory smoke, and numerous other unknown pollutants. A wonder anyone can breathe below, probably why the Hutts feel at home here.
None the less, it is where certain modified items can be found without the worry of customs departments hindering their purchase. Wez sets the ship down on an available docking platform just off the refugee sector.*
*The Davaab Starfighter: The Juggernaught blasts from the surface to orbit. The Tatooine coordinates are entered in the navigation systems and the ship blasts out of orbit. No matter how quick the hyperspace lanes can shorten travel time, it still seems that Tatooine will always be the farthest planet from whatever brightest spot may be the center of the universe.*

The East Peesy exits the atmosphere of Nar Shadda and Jarga looks back. Many times this planet has been called 'mini-Coruscant' and it's glittering planet-wide lights are a testament to that statement. But for all her boasting, Coruscant was slowly losing it's role as 'Center of the Galaxy'. A new intergalactic senate had been formed, not by the politicians of Coruscant, but by the mega starship super-corporation known as Kuat.
Jarga smiled. All of this simply proved what other species where just now slowly comprehending. Money was, is, and always would be, everything. All these concerns about morality...such nonsense was beneath a Hutt. And yet it was still part of the game. One he was now tasked to play. Everyone had their place, their use, in the Galaxy. And the sooner the Hutts could get back to the top of that chain...the better.
Waving a corpulent hand, Jarga called out for a holonet transmission to Kuat.
H'chu apenkee, grancha Kuat! Dobrah Jarga pa Nokko. Jarga waved his hand and a protocol droid stepped forward. His Excellency, the mighty Jarga, has honored us all with his right and proper greetings to you, great Kuat! It is the wish of the Hutts that they would accept your offer to have a Senator sit on your intergalactic mediation group...your Senate, as it is. Jarga himself is on his way to Kuat even now, to discuss with you your dealings, policies, and goals. His most powerful and glorious majesty looks forward to meeting with you all.

The Ginns Legacy comes out of hyperspace, looming afew thousand kilometers away. Chiren stares at the moon, feeling a rage welling into his chest. The last time Chiren had laid eyes on the sprawling, infested city-moon, he had killed a Hutt slaver and its guards, freeing a number of slaves in the process, and gained a new ship planetside. Now, he was here for a much more personal business.
His crew was dead. Killed on Tatooine, and nothing but a teasing note as evidence. Obviously, his previous actions finally caught up to him. But to murder for saving the lives of others? Chiren's grip on the control wheel tightens. The Hutts enslaved him in his childhood. But thanks to that, Chiren met his future wife. But they had crossed Chiren by killing his father-in-law and kidnapping his beloved. Sure, his father-in-law had a gambling addiction, and should have known better than to bet against Hutts in anything. But that should not have constituted what happened.
The damage he caused before would be nothing compared to what he is willing to do now. How many, Chiren wondered, would he have to go through before he recieved answers? How many mercs, Hutts, criminals... How many need die before they give in? He doesn't know; and frankly, he doesn't care. Chiren urges the ship forward, and soon, into the moon's atmosphere. Spotting a spaceport, Chiren lands the ship. Before leaving, Chiren redresses into the black attire he had Colin tailor for him; attire that would, to most, give him a dark visage.
Chiren takes an E-WEB he had originally taken from Tion during his time serving the government, and rigs it in front of the loading ramp. He connects a auto-targeting computer and splices it into the ship's computer. Anyone entering the ship would find themselves quite surprised, or dead, if they forced entry. Chiren would take no risks here.
Chiren lowers the loading ramp, clipping both his lightstaff and the lightsaber he had taken from Chairman Dels'ka on Tion, to his belt. Using a remote on his datapad, Chiren shuts the loading ramp, and seals it.
'Little Coruscant' it was called. Chiren pays the few credits to the deck officer for the landing fee, and a few more credits for refueling, puts the datapad away, secures his hip-pouch and weapons against possible pick pockets, and leaves the starport. The planet is busy, as always. It would not take him long to find out where all the illegal auctions are taking place. He need only find a source, and follow it. Chiren lifts his cowl, shadowing his facial features, and mixes into the crowd. The first place he need go is to a cantina. He would surely find useful information there.
Warlord Chiren Guinn: Far be it from anyone to suggest you don't have room here Seiga

Jul 25, 2020 0:05:59 GMT -5
Master Seiga: Mmm, is there room for a Jedi in what's going on? I've got to be honest, I've been out of 'the game' for awhile. So I'm probably rusty
Jul 25, 2020 0:04:49 GMT -5
Warlord Chiren Guinn: If it helps, I am usually online around midnight to 2:30am New England time. I work 3pm to 11pm during the week, and typically sleep until 9 or 10am. That's why my appearances have been spotty.
Jul 24, 2020 20:45:30 GMT -5
Warlord Chiren Guinn: I'll be posting when I get home, Sarrai. I had some trouble with writer's block, but I think I'm over it now.
Jul 24, 2020 20:43:20 GMT -5
Warlord Chiren Guinn: Also, Seiga, if you do decide to RP with us, we would be quite glad for it. It's been pretty gloomy in terms of activity for a while now.
Jul 24, 2020 20:40:18 GMT -5
Warlord Chiren Guinn: I've seen Yurik online with my PS4 many times, pretty sure he just decided to quit RPing when Cait made it clear she wouldn't be able to RP anymore. And someone definitely lurks, I see guests here all the time.
Jul 24, 2020 20:39:23 GMT -5
Sarrai: Hey Seiga, that happens to me too, you disappear when I sign in. Finally a challenge for the galaxy.
Jul 18, 2020 7:41:40 GMT -5
Master Seiga: Naturally, I'm able to come back and everyone runs off. cracks knuckles Guess I'll have to take over the galaxy myself and remake it in my glorious image
Jul 17, 2020 22:34:16 GMT -5
Governor Alexis Grey: Haven't heard from either of them in at least a couple of years by now.
Jul 15, 2020 19:27:24 GMT -5
