The agent Talon follows seems to take a rather unorthodox route through the streets, taking flights of stairs in alleys, or public lifts up and down a few levels. At first, the path would appear pointless - but a professional would know it was a real effort to throw off any probable tails. The agent turns suddenly, entering a small shop, but then seems to disappear!
Nowhere between the aisles could the agent be found, if one tried to look. The store clerk doesn't show any outward appearance of even having noticed someone had entered. But behind them is a rather unremarkable auto-door. The red light above it suggests the door had been magnetically locked - meaning attempting to force a way in would only serve as a warning and cause a scene with the clerk.
But there had also been what looked like a seldomly used autolift just outside the store. It only goes down, one would see if inspected.
The pedestrians around the Outlander Club seem to pass by in an endless stream of beings. But at one point, a large-headed Duros with a covered left eye seems to look straight at Daelis. Their expression hardens, and they slip into the crowd, almost seeming to vanish. But as there are few Duros in the area, finding it wouldn't exactly be a terrible challenge. What Daelis considered a break was far too short for her taste. She always takes notice of any species that isn’t human. Depending of where she goes they are few and far in between, but as unpredictable as humans can be, someone of a foreign culture needed to be approached with careful steps. With different species even more so. And cultures of different planets could easily clash. So, it is never new to Daelis when someone looks at her with either fascination or disgust. But the way the Duran looked at her seemed way too specific. Too calculated with how he slid away after focusing on her. She chokes the glow of the cigarette by pressing it against the wall behind her. “Probably wasn’t the jacket that is his problem, huh?” she mumbles. She begins to navigate through the crowd in a slow pace, and when she can’t, she pushes her way. With one hand she clicks the comlink to her ear and with the other she grabs her datapad. With a few swipes she finds the code for Talon’s comlink, that she already had noted when she joined his team, and she tries to call him. If Talon accepts the call, a very casual voice of Daelis can be heard before he can say anything: “Hello Julian, how are you? Did you have any luck finding that dessert you talked so much about? It sounded quite amazing. Personally, I don’t know if I’m in the mood for dessert. I’ve found some quite interesting dishes, and I have to do some more research before I can pick a meal for my liking. I need to check the menu”.The gibberish sounds like a random conversation between friends, and she proceeds like that, in case someone listened. But she is in no doubt that Talon understands her. “That is – unless you insist upon enjoying the dessert before the main dish”.
