The design of this massive auditorium is based closely on that of the Old Republic's Senate, with small detachable platforms for each faction to sit in. Whenever a Senator wishes to address the assembled crowd, their platform can be detached from the wall where it is anchored, and directed toward the center of the auditorium where they can be better seen and heard as they speak.

Current Members of the Senate:

Speaker of the Senate: Jaing Skirata

Representatives for the Imperial Order:
Grand Admiral Thrawn (Senior Senator)
Darth Malaise (Representative)

Representatives for the Jedi Order:
Slipshade Spiritstrider (Senior Senator)
Ithilwen Alfrey (Representative)

Representatives for the Vode An be Manda:
Jaing Skirata (Senior Senator)
Coman Mereel (Representative)

Representatives for Scourge
Adalric (Senior Senator)
Vor Essen (Representative)

Representative for the Unaligned Citizens of the Galaxy:
Valkess

I would like to thank the Grey Jedi for their support. As I am not a senator I am unfortunetly unable to be chosen for the position of Speaker. UCOM's Sr Senator Adenn Mirdala will announce our choice for speaker shortly.

To be a Jedi is to live a life of service. I would be delighted to serve as Speaker, and thank you, Senator Adenn for your vote of confidence. If voted in…I would be pleased to serve as the speaker. However, if the lovely Ithilwen is voted in, I would be just as pleased! I know we would both be excellent Speakers.

(LB) the GJO belive that Ithilwen would be a good choice for speaker but so would Sliphand. I have been giving this much thought and I believe Ithilwen has a more opened mind when it comes to all the dissection we may have here. Where Slihand would go left or to the right on one or two subjects. So we believe the galaxy would be in good hand if Ithilwen was in charge.

And GJO wish no dishorner to Sliphand he is a grate leader and person.

(GJO Vote goes to Ithilwen)

*A holo of Slipshade appears. The Senator looks very concerned, the normal joviality of his demeanor replaced by uncertainty…and apprehension.*

“Good and honorable senators. We come from many different cultures, different worlds, and different factions. But one thing I have always felt is that we are all united in a want for peace. My colleges…this peace has been threatened recently…and I feel we need to discuss it.”

“As many of you know, diplomatic representatives were sent to Nar Shaddaa, or better known as the Smuggler’s Moon. Lady lioness of the Sith was there, myself, and of course Kal Verd of UCOM. However, the Hutts decided to stand on their own and remain neutral in this conflict…we should have respected this choice, but apparently UCOM did not feel this respect was pertinent and boldly attacked the Hutts without provocation or any legitimate reason that I can see. Out of respect for UCOM, I for one would like to hear from their honorable senator the reason for this attack.”

*Slipshade looks over to UCOM’s section and frowns*

“Gentlemen, your attack has plunged the galaxy into a dark state…look at the skies above Kamino. I see several fleets from various factions moving in, as they are, of course, all concerned the others may attack. What possible reason was there to attack Nar Shaddaa to bring this tension upon us? Crime has run rampant there for years…but there are innocent people on that moon as well. Think of all the vast people the Hutt’s employ…where will they find jobs now? Are they experienced enough to work in the factories you create? I wish to hear UCOM’s side of the story…and based on the senate’s feelings, explore what penalties, if any, should come about from this unprovoked attack.”

Senators, I appear before you myself to explain the recent fleet action at Nar Shadda. While Senator Slipshade may call the attack unprovoked, I regretfully must disagree with him. While attending the debates on Nar Shadda , Kal Verd came down with some sort of illness. It is apparently an unknown virus that has never been seen before by the doctor that examined him.

Considering the air on Nar Shadda is known not to be toxic, or else millions of people on the planet would be sick, I can only assume it is a foriegn contaminent. Personally I can not currently state if it is bio engineered or an unknown virus, or a poison of sorts. I don't know. I do know it was contracted on Nar Shadda at some point just before or during the debates.

As such we did appeal to the Hutts to surrrender, as transcripts from orbit of the world can show. As it was the only losses were 5 CR90s and 5 orbital batteries. There was no loss of life on planet.

While many may just call this a UCOM fear of conspiracy or just a war mongering need to attack something, there was another reason behind the attack.

UCOM has recently been informed of a mysterious disaster that has befallen the farms on Concord Dawn. As of now there are currently no harvestable crops on the planet. This plant disease is something that was introduced by parties currently unknown. Yes I said introduced. Unless anyone can inform me of a disease that can kill a plant in a 12 hour period. The crops were fine in the morning and later that same day the crops were destroyed.

Nar Shadda was taken in order to help feed the people of UCOM. That is the reasons behind the attack.

Also I would like to note that both the UCOM and Jedi fleets headed to Kamino were both sent in order to defend the planet from attack. Liana Ordo has spoken to the Kamino council on my behalf and asked them to meet with me. My intent is to start a new round of debates on the planet.

*Sitting in the Grand Masters Office in the Temple viewing the Senate proceedings, Jacen Molare requests a priority channel to the Senate. A few moments later, a hologram of the Jedi Master appears*

Greetings Senators...I am appalled at this turn of events; whilst the Jedi Order does not condone overtly agressive actions such as those on Nar Shaddaa, it is disturbing to hear reports of Faction Ambassadors being poisoned during diplomatic talks. The Galactic Senate should ensure the safe passage of all those engaged in diplomacy, and if it cannot, should send peacekeeping forces to such planets who would wish harm to those under a banner of peace. I would encourage the Senate to look into the issue of Kal Verd's poisoning...

Another, more important issue is that of the honourable Mand'alor's second accusation. The fact that a bio-toxin has deliberately been introduced into a habital world's food chain is absolutely abhorant to the Jedi. I would urge the Senate to immediately offer aid to Concord Dawn, and send investigators to find out the perpetrators of this heinous act. As for the Jedi, we offer any assistance we possibly can give to the people of Concord Dawn.

*The hologram of Jacen looks over to the Jedi area of the Senate*
Representative Slipshade will be able to assist you in this area if you so need our help; please just contact his office. I thank the Senate in advance for their affirmative action-we must not allow acts of such wanton violence and terror go uninvestigated

*The hologram of the Grand Master winks out of existence*

Greetings Senators. While the matter of the disease on Concord Dawn is of great importance and should be investigated to find out the person or persons who introduced this "Disease" I wish to respectfully remind the senator from Ucom that if he had needed food, he could have simply bought foodstuff from various companies, or could have manufactured his own. So their was really no need to attack Nar Shadaa for food. It is incredibly distressing that a member of a faction was poisoned during diplomatic talks. The GJO would like to assist Ucom in anyway it can, and to this end will send one of its own fine Healers to take a look at Kal and to see if he knows what disease Kal could Possibly have.

I would welcome the help of the Jetii in figuring out what exactly this plant disease is.

On the other hand no GJO member will be welcome on a UCOM world or in UCOM sovereign space.

Also, UCOM will be pulling out of the Galactic senate. Our Senators are to be recalled to their homes. I will personally will serve as a liason between the UCOM worlds and the Senate if a need arises. ALL UCOM forces except the fleet cuirrently in route to Kamino will return to their homes. The fleet at Kamino will sit out the debates in orbit as a protection force. They will then return home after the debates.

*Holo appears again*

The GJO is currently barring Ucom from any Planet or Space of the GJO, and any attempt to come on or near a GJO occupied Planet will be taken as an act of war, and responded to accordingly.

A holo of the SO Jr. Representative, Darth Valkess, appears.

"Senators, there has been a grave tragedy within the Sith worlds. As you may or may not know, four Force-Sensative Sith Warriors were murdered in the outskirts of the city of Theed on Naboo. A few days later," Valkess pauses and takes a deep breath, "The entire Umbaran Sith Academy, Staff, Students, and otherwise, was murdered. Apprentices, Elites, it didn't matter. At the scene on Naboo, a particular poison was found that has lead us in our own investigations. That poison was Voxyn, one traditionally used by the Yuuzhon Vong. Both the Naboo and Umbaran murders were committed in a similar fashion. The bodies were ripped and torn, with barely anything left of the identifying marks.

Currently, until we find out what or who is behind these murders, visitations to Sith worlds is highly discouraged. We ask for any information that you may have. Thank you."

*Listens to the explosion of activity in the senate…and nods gravely when he hears of UCOM’s predicament, quickly followed by the trouble of the Sith! Slipshade had heard rumors of trouble on Naboo…but the sheer size and separation of the murders were chilling. Had the Vong returned? The pirate hoped not…he shuddered. His holo stood up…rain poring down behind him as he spoke:*

“My good friends…my heart becomes heavy at the troubles facing UCOM. No faction should ever have to face such rising concerns as a lack of food. As previously spoken by Grand Master Jacen, the Jedi are ready, willing, and able to help in any way we can. As for this illness…this strikes very close to home as I was personally in those talks on Nar Shaddaa. Unless there was a htreat to UCOM, I will have to assume that the target was a diplomat…and diplomat, and Kal just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Diplomats are the life blood of peace…and if they are not safe…what manner of life does peace have to look forward to? Dark times have gripped the universe…and we must band together to help each other and discover the mind behind these attacks on Sith, diplomats, and UCOM crops.”

*The fiery senator pauses…and takes a deep breath.*

“However…I agree with the Grey Jedi Order that food would have been readily available had UCOM simply asked…instead of attacked. As a Jedi, I cannot condone this attack, when diplomacy was still an option. So I propose we think about our next step very carefully…should we levy sanctions against UCOM for the attack? Or should we simply focus on helping the UCOM people to survive? Though I am against such bold attacks, I am a strong supporter of survival…and UCOM needs our help right now.”

“First, I feel we need to vote on the following: Should UCOM be punished for their aggressive actions despite their grave circumstances? Food could have been gotten from any faction through deals…but if Nar Shaddaa was the source of the attack on Kal Verd, was it an act from the government attempting to spark war to further sale of black market or factory weapons? Or was it something far sinister…I for one am not sure. If sanctions are required and voted in…I also suggest they be light and purely military. The people of UCOM have suffered enough already…it would not be in the interest of peace to kick them while they are down.”

*The pirate closes his eyes, obviously torn with news of suffering Mandalorians. He takes a minute to compose himself before continuing.*

“Mand’alor Jaing Skirata…we will work together to help solve this crop problem once and for all. It is now a UCOM problem…but many times these problems spread. The fate of the Mandalorian people is something I would like to see thrive…they are your people…they are my people. I brought this up to the senate because it is my responsibility as a senator….to better the lives of all factions. As such…I request that the senate also discuss a policy to send aid to UCOM, in the gift of food and credits.”

“As for the Sith…these murders are troubling indeed. I would not stand in the way should the Sith want to handle this on their own. My friends…if the Vong are back…this could be a foul day indeed for the galaxy as a whole. Please, Senator Valkess…do keep us informed. And I am gravely sorry for your loss, and we will make sure to forward any information we have.”

*The pirate bows his head in respect first to UCOM, then the Grey Jedi, and finally the Sith before sending his seat out of the center of the senate hall*

*A hologram of Grand Admiral Thrawn appears before the Senate. He is in his hologram room on board his flagship.*

"Greetings noble Senators of the factions of the galaxy. As you all should already know, two of the Sith Order's planets, were recently attacked by a mysterious entity. The first incident was on Naboo, several people were found mauled to death in the rural areas of the capital, Theed. Following that, the Sith Academy on Umbara was also struck with a similar incident, this time wiping out everyone in it. More recently, Naboo has been affected by something of which we are still investigating. Many Naboo have been affected and the conditions observed by those affected are spreading quickly. We have reason to believe that this situation is somehow connected or related to the incidents of the mauling.

Therefore, to avert plunging into a situation similar to that of the Mandolorian planets, we are forced to close off all spaceports leading to Naboo and Umbara. No ships and visitor will be welcomed to the planet, and the ones in charge of space control around said planets will task any ships that come into their area of jurisdiction to leave immediately. We hereby ask the Senate to aid us in enforcing this policy if any situations arise, and to direct all diplomatic missions and all other travelling to these planets away.

The above stated quaruntine policy shall and will be instated and put into action on Saturday. That is to say 12:00 AM GMT, August 23rd, 2008.

We would like to ask all visitors from other factions currently on any one of the two planets to be closed off to leave as soon as possible, for your own safety. We know very little of this situation and as such cannot guarauntee you will not be affected by it. If you do not leave by the time of the enacting of the quaruntine, you will be forced to stay on planet for as long as the quaruntine lasts. When we feel that it is safe to once again open up the spaceports for open travel, we will lift the quaruntine. In NO WAY will the Sith Order be responsible for anything that happens to said visitor or visitors that is related to this incident during the quaruntine period and they must comply with all policies we put in place affecting the planets quaruntined during that period.

Thank you."

*Thrawn takes a bow and the hologram blinks out.*
